Tour Plan

Day 1

Destination: Negombo
Drive: Approximately ½ an hour

On arrival in Sri Lanka, you will be met and assisted by our Airport Representative, who will direct you to your very own chauffeur who will transfer you to the fishing village of Negombo. If you have spare time, your chauffeur will introduce you to some of Negombo's curious sites, such as the Dutch churches; perhaps take a boat ride along the Dutch canals; or enjoy the beach.

Day 2

Destination: Dambulla
Drive: approximately 4 hours.

After breakfast, head for Dambulla and explore the famous Golden Rock cave temple, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A sacred pilgrimage site for 22 centuries, this cave monastery, a vast isolated rock mass with its five caverns is the largest best preserved cave- temple complex in Sri Lanka.

Destination: Sigiriya
Drive: approximately ½ hour.

Afterward, leave for Sigiriya. Enjoy the exhilarating climb to the top of the rock fortress of Sigiriya, a 5th-century "Fortress in the Sky".

Destination: Habarana Drive: Approximately ½ Hours.

After the climb, head for Habarana, a small village with excellent hotel accommodation and a central location for all the ancient city sites. Check in at your hotel on arrival and spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 3

Destination: Hiriwaduna Village
Drive: approximately 15 minutes.

After breakfast, leave for the Hiriwadunna Village. Hiriwaduna situated in Habarana is small farming village where you will experience the simple lifestyle of our native culture. A morning bullock cart ride will take you through the village. Then stop for lunch and be treated to delicious local cuisine served on lotus leaves by a village family. End your local adventure with a catamaran ride on the lake

Destination: Polonnaruwa
Drive: Approximately 1 Hour.

Later continue on to one of the best kept ruins of ancient Ceylon - the UNESCO World Heritage City of Polonnaruwa, which was the Capital of Sri Lanka from the 11th to 13th century.

Overnight Stay: Hotel in Habarana.

Day 4

Destination: Kandy
Drive: Approximately 3 Hour

After breakfast head to Kandy. En route you will visit a spice garden in Matale. You will check in at your hotel on arrival and once you are rested, continue on to your tour of Kandy! Kandy, the bustling hill country capital is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is famous for the pink painted Temple of the Tooth which houses the most sacred religious relic, the tooth of the Buddha, the Kandy Lake built in 1807 which is an attractive centerpiece to the town. In the evening you will visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic. Thereafter enjoy the Kandyan Cultural show at the Kandyan Arts & Cultural Centre.(5.00pm) The show features the graceful and rhythmic dancers and drummers culminating in an impressive fire walking display.

Day 5

Destination: Kandy / Kitulgala
Drive: Approximately 2 Hours

After breakfast, visit the Royal Botanical gardens and drive through the Peradeniya University premises, and end your tour with a visit to a local silk factory and a gem museum. On completion, leave for Kitulgala, a small town perched on the hills that slope down to the flowing waters of the Kelani River.The main attractions include whitewater rafting, trekking, and the Kelani Forest Reserve, a popular bird-watching location. Enjoy a thrilling day of whitewater rafting.

Overnight Stay: Hotel in Kithulgala

Destination: Kandy
Drive: Approximately 2 1/2 Hours

Continue on to the bustling hill capital of Kandy. En route, you will visit a spice garden in Matale. You will check in at your hotel on arrival, and once you are rested, continue on your tour of Kandy. In the evening, you will visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic and later enjoy the Kandyan Cultural Show at the Kandyan Arts & Cultural Centre. The show features graceful and rhythmic dancers and drummers, culminating in an impressive firewalker display.

Day 6

Destination: Nuwara Eliya
Drive: Approximately 2 Hours.

Afterwards leave for the beautiful town of Nuwara Eliya, set in the heart of Tea country, and en route visit a tea plantation and tea factory. Nuwara Eliya upon completion, and at your convenience, commence a sightseeing tour of the city. Visit the Nuwara Eliya Town, Marketplace, and Golf Course (one of the finest 18-hole Golf courses in Asia) the Hill Club, and drive around this hill station, viewing Lake Gregory.

Day 7

Destination: Horton Plains / Nuwara Eliya
Drive: Approximately 1 ½ Hours

After an early breakfast at the hotel, leave for the Horton Plains, the highest plateau in the country. It is one of the most important national parks in Sri Lanka, especially for its topographical variations. It has unique vegetation and is famous for many rare and endemic highland birds. The most awesome physical feature of the Horton Plains is the escarpment that falls 880 meters to the lowlands of the southern region of the island. Aptly known as the 'World's End', the view from the precipice of the countryside below towards the south coast is spectacular.

Day 8

Destination: Ella
Drive: Approximately 3 Hours

After breakfast, leave for Ella by train. Ella is a beautiful small village in Sri Lanka's hill country, and you will enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the hill country on your train journey.

Destination: Yala
Drive: Approximately 4 Hours

Once you arrive in Ella you will proceed to Yala. Check-in at your hotel on arrival and enjoy the rest of your evening at leisure. Overnight Stay: Hotel in Yala

Day 9

Destination: Yala National Park

After an early breakfast commence a jeep safari in Yala National Park by private jeep accompanied by a tracker. Yala National Park is one of Sri Lanka's premier eco-tourist destinations and is renowned for its variety of wildlife notably its many elephants. It is also home to the spotted deer, sambar, wild buffalo, sloth bear, jackal, mongoose, and crocodiles. The peacock is easily the most famous of the birds in this park. Yala has a high concentration of Leopards although seeing these nocturnal carnivores still requires some luck.

Destination: Galle
Drive: Approximately 4 Hours

After lunch at a local restaurant leave for Galle. Enjoy a tour of the city center of Galle, famous for its fort and colonial background.

Overnight Stay: Hotel in Bentota

Day 10

Destination: Airport
Drive: Approximately 2 Hours

Now that you are at the end of your journey with us, after breakfast, your chauffeur will comfortably take you to the international airport in time for your departure flight.
